A while ago I wrote an article titled, You Can’t Care in which I detailed why caring what other people think is detrimental to your mental and emotional well-being. Caring about what other people think has become a huge problem for many people in the world. With images and stories being posted every second of every hour that showcases lifestyles that seemingly have no real problems amidst the pandemic. What we don’t see; however, is how those people are maintaining the same level of living they had pre-pandemic, and in many cases continuing to increase and go to yet another level in life.

Regardless of the long-lasting effects, the pandemic will have on the general population including the need to rebuild after suffering the loss of income to the struggles many faces with paying their rent or simply putting food on the table, there are still many people that have been fortunate enough to not be affected monetarily. This seems to have created an even larger gap between the haves and the have nots.

Indeed, there are those that are blessed enough to bypass the common struggles that plague the general population, but there is absolutely no reason you can not become one of them.

Purpose, Fear, and Confidence

You may be wondering what in the world does this has to do with living a life of purpose, overcoming fear, and building confidence, which is what I specialize in. Well, tribe, I have a very good reason for writing a post on why you should start an online business and it very much ties into purpose, fear, and confidence (or lack thereof). The Big Boom In Online Business

Lately, I have noticed a huge increase in the creation of online businesses. This is because a lot of people have been forced to get creative in figuring out alternatives ways to make a living. One that does not require dependency on a nine to five because lets be honest, many of these jobs may never return.

Although online businesses have existed for years, having one was viewed as something that was reserved for super-smart or gifted people. Also, for many years our society was built on the premise of conditioning as many people as possible to adopt the mindset that getting a so-called good job and staying there for 30 or 40 years was the key to success. Well, my friends, those days are long gone and if you do not learn to pivot, adjust, and change with the times, you may find yourself stuck in a less than fortunate financial circumstances post-pandemic.

The good news is that many people are waking up and taking action, creating their own opportunities using various mediums such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, or Snap Chat to name a few. Of course, there are many other ways to create an online business, but those are among the few that I utilize regularly.

Opportunity Awaits You

Although we are living through tumultuous times, and as disconsonant as this may sound, there is a huge opportunity presenting itself right now for any and everybody to start operating in their purpose if they are not already doing so. This includes you, especially if you have more time on your hands than you know what to do with. Maybe you are among those who still have a job, but experienced a loss of hours, or even the threat of losing your job altogether, but was spared.

You Were Born With A Gift

Stop underestimating your God-given gifts. You were born with them and your gift (which is always connected to your purpose) will make room for you. What this means is if you will only take a chance on yourself and believe that great things can come out of doing so, you will experience not only monetary blessings but blessings that will befall you in every area of your life.

Fear Is An Illusion

Do not allow fear to hold you back from trying. What stops many people from even taking the first step is fear; fear of judgment, fear of failure, fear of success, or fear of not knowing how to create an online business. All you have to do is start from where you are with what you have and the next steps will be shown to you as you go. Remember, the feeling of fear is real; however, fear itself is only an illusion once you turn and face it.

Build Confidence While Building Business

Start believing that you can do it. Confidence is built by taking action, not by listening to motivational content or even by citing self-affirmations. Confidence comes with trying and eventually seeing results. Do not allow a lack of confidence in yourself to stop you from trying and going all out to pursue your dream and walk in your purpose because every seed that is planted must bear fruit.

The Pros and Cons of Entrepreneurship

It is important not to be deceived by the mere idea of the freedom that having an online business can grant you. As true as this may be, starting, running, and maintaining an online business is hard work and not for the faint of heart. Personally, I enjoy the process and find that this is key in having the necessary staying power and not giving up at the first sign of perceived obstacles and hard times.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with working a 9-5 if that’s the route you prefer. As I said, entrepreneurship is definitely not for everyone. It is unpredictable at times and you must be willing to take risks. Most entrepreneurs get excited about taking risks because we see it as yet another opportunity to win.

If you are uncomfortable or maybe even downright opposed to someone else having the ability to dictate the decisions you want to make for your life, then entrepreneurship may be for you. However, if you prefer the security of getting a steady paycheck and knowing how much it will be each and every time, then starting your own business may be a very scary thing for you to embark upon. One thing for sure if you are willing to take a chance on yourself is that you will create an endless opportunity to become more of who you are while being of service to others.

Mind Your Business

If you are guilty of caring about the opinion of others, I guarantee that you will hit the pause button on making moves that you otherwise would not think twice about. This assessment of what you are guilty of is not to make you feel bad about yourself, but instead, is meant to empower you to make a decision right now that from this moment on you will be the judge and the jury of your life.

It is necessary to free yourself from caring what other people think in order to be able to operate free from allowing someone else to dictate your thoughts, feelings about yourself, the way you present yourself, and the moves you must take to succeed. People will always have an opinion – everyone has one, but not one of them needs to affect the decisions and actions you take when starting your online business unless of course, it is someone who is in partnership with you. In that case, you are on the same team and a difference of opinion is welcome and necessary at times. The bottom line is that you must at all times mind your business and ignore those that feel the need to push their judgment upon you.

No one deserves this position in your life but you, and the sooner you come to the realization that people, in general, don’t really care what you do or don’t do, the sooner you will free yourself from the grip that judgment from other people has on you. It is time to silence all of that noise, stand up for yourself, and become the boss of your own life.

You Are Important

There you have it, folks! Overall, the message I want to impart upon you is this:

No matter what happens in life, as long as you are still blessed with yet another day to make a difference in someone’s life, and as long as you are given, yet another day – another opportunity to become the best version of yourself, you still have a purpose to serve and an opportunity to make an impact on someone’s life. After all, you may be the one person who completely changes the trajectory of another person’s life. Don’t underestimate your gifts, your purpose, or the true ability that lies within you to create lasting change in this world.
