Why Your Haters Should Give You Life

Why Your Haters Should Give You Life

If you don’t have any haters you need to work harder at winning

Ahh…the haters. There’s nothing quite like ’em. They used to irritate the hell out of me until I understood that even our haters serve a purpose. They come in all forms and fashions, so don’t be surprised when the sheep turns out to be a wolf.

Over time, I have discovered that haters absolutely must show up in our lives, which ironically, is usually when you are at your best and on top of your game, or on your way to the top. Please believe, as soon as you start making changes in your life, the haters will have something negative to say, in the hopes of invoking an even more negative reaction from you.

Now, don’t go getting your panties in a bunch or your boxers twisted when those petty haters appear out of nowhere. Instead, see it as a compliment because if you don’t have any haters, it is a sign you need to work harder at winning.

Haters are proof that you are on right track

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your perspective), haters are necessary evils that show up to counteract the tremendous good (translation: goals) that you have accomplished. Allow them to serve as a constant reminder of how great you really are.

Their hateful words or actions are a sign that you are winning in life. With their venomous words, a hater will attack to try to tear you down (because they are usually cowards), but the chances of them confronting you face to face to have an adult conversation are slim to none.

While your haters are doing what they do best, it is your job to stay focused and continue to win. The fact that you even have haters is enough reason why they should give you life.

Never give your power away to haters

Now don’t get me wrong – I won’t proclaim that I have never been affected by my haters’ words or actions; however, I didn’t allow them to break me, and neither should you.

Anytime you decide to improve your life on any level, something must come to challenge that decision. Like myself, yours may just happen to come in the form of a hater.

Initially, you may not recognize the purpose of a hater’s behavior towards you, only to later realize the experience itself was just a test. Sometimes, the only way we can know if a life lesson has been mastered is by an experience that counters against the very core of who you are and where you are trying to go in life.

These circumstances are not coincidental and are intended to help us grow to the next level. It is amazing how life’s challenges are unique to each individual, even if others are affected during the process.

No matter what, it is important to keep in mind that you hold the power, and under no circumstances should you hand that power over to anyone, especially your haters.

Use negative energy to produce positive results

More times than not, our haters catch us off guard and show up at the most unexpected times, but be mindful to never allow them to be the reason you stumble and fall. Never let a hater take you out of the game.

On your way to becoming your best self, your experiences with said haters will ironically be perfectly orchestrated at a very particular time in your life. If you are paying attention, these experiences will be set up in such a way that you will bear witness to the changes that have taken place within you.

The change within maybe one that you are not aware of, but nonetheless, will become apparent by how you choose to respond, not react to your haters. It has been my observation that the growth that is needed for each individual will determine the experiences presented in one’s life.

Although uncomfortable, these individualized experiences are a necessary part of life because they help stretch our mental and emotional muscles. For this very reason, it is important to learn to be comfortable when life hurls us into uncomfortable circumstances. It is even more important to learn how to maintain your peace by instead, using all negative energy directed towards you, to produce positive outcomes. Despite your circumstances, always be mindful that nothing is worth losing your peace of mind.

Your haters are a work in progress

The first step in being able to progress in life is admitting that being a work in progress is a continuous process. With that being stated, please allow me to be the first to proudly admit that I am a work in progress.

I think it’s important that “Non-Haters” have a little compassion for our lovely haters. We must understand that they too are a work in progress. After all, they aren’t very happy people, and the only way they know to express themselves, most times, is by attempting to knock someone else down.

Sadly, the truth of the matter is they are longing for love and attention. Even more disheartening is the fact that these types of people don’t realize they are, indeed, a hater.

The adage, “misery loves company” is as true today as it has ever been. Don’t take the bait, but instead, choose to reject the invitation to keep misery company.

Haters are going to hate

Your haters should give you life because, in all honesty, they are doing you a favor by confirming that you are on the right track in life. If their actions or words manage to cause you to stumble or temporarily knock you down, the experience will teach you to be more prepared the next time a hater comes your way. Part of being prepared is knowing if you continue to reach your goals and move forward in life, the haters will, indeed, come for your time and time again.

Be thankful for your haters and send love their way. Master the skill of using your haters as motivation because the bottom line is…haters are going to hate. Allow them to give you life and continue to win.
